We have long experimented in the kitchen, everything from flavor in scents to dinner in darkness. Many times it has been exciting and challenging, but it has never really felt like home or safe. We believe that food is the core of much in our society – culture, community, identity.

Just as our inspirer and namesake said, we believe that the food experience we choose says something about ourselves and means more than adventure and experimentation. It allows us to be who we are. It lets us dive deep into worlds and creates memories and hopes. It inspires, leads to discussion, laughter, and tears, it unites and creates safety, joy, frustration, sorrow, and longing.
